I am in my final month as the Oregon Chapter CPCU President.  I have been lucky to have a fantastic board to work with.  The team has been open to trying new events and seeking ways to better serve the Chapter members.  The incoming board being led by Peter Schmidt has even more things planned for the chapter.  If you take a look at the new features on our website (updated by Linda Rooke) you will find that we are expanding the information being provided and looking to reach members through social networking.  More will be coming to you from our new board.

Meanwhile, my last meeting as the chapter President will be on June 10.  The meeting will be held at the Avalon and will include a discussion on the various ways you can participate in CPCU at the regional, district and national levels.  We will be installing our new board.  We will be having our new Director, Diana Van Horn, perform the installation.

As we lead into the summer months, our chapter will again be sponsoring a day at PGE Park.  It will be your last opportunity to see the Beavers play there as the stadium is converting over to a soccer stadium.   Save Sunday, August 15, 2010, for the game!

Finally, I want to encourage all of you to become more involved in your chapter.  It is not until you get involved that you learn what opportunities are truly available to you.
